This MSATA to adapter card provides flexible interface conversion between MSATA and M.2 SATA drives. It supports two configurations: MSATA to M.2 and M.2 to MSATA, and both options operate without NVMe or PCIe support. Adapter configurations MSATA to M.2 adapter: external interface is M.2, internal interface is MSATA. This variant converts an MSATA connection to an M.2 interface, without NVMe or PCIe protocols. M.2 to MSATA adapter: external interface is MSATA, internal interface is M.2. This variant converts an M.2 interface to an MSATA connection, without NVMe or PCIe protocols. Important note These adapters are for interface type conversions only and do not support NVMe or PCIe protocols. They are intended for SATAbased drives (MSATA and M.2 SATA). Physical compatibility The MSATA male version includes four mounting holes to accommodate M.2 card lengths of 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280. Use scenarios Scenario 1: You have an MSATA slot on a notebook and want to install a newer M.2 SATA SSD. Use the MSATA to M.2 adapter to connect the M.2 drive to the MSATA interface. Scenario 2: You have an M.2 SATA SSD and a device that only offers an MSATA interface. Use the M.2 to MSATA adapter to use the M.2 drive in that device.
