Easy to install: PVC is lightweight, easy to install, requires no special cutting tools and is installed by solvent cementing. Application: Gray fittings used for drain, waste and vent (DWV), sewer and storm drain applications. Advice: For use where systems will not exceed 140 F. Not intended for use under pressure. UV resistant PVC fittings contain a healthy additive that inhibits the impact of sunlight and other ultraviolet sources on the molecular structure of PVC. Without it, the PVC would yellow, crack, become brittle and break. Shock resistance PVC fittings can take a beating. They are designed to withstand knocks or drops from a significant height and will not crack or break compared to standard plumbing grade PVC fittings. 100% Compatible Structural grade PVC pipe and fittings are dimensionally compatible with quality PVC fittings. Easy to install They are resilient, highly resistant to traction and impact. Installation requires the use of a primer and solvent cement. Tips PVC pressure fittings are intended for pressurized systems with temperatures not exceeding 140F.
