M8 is a practical mid-range size for adjustable spacers, stand-offs, light fixing points and non-metallic assemblies where a smooth plastic thread is useful. PTFE is valued for low friction, electrical insulation and broad chemical compatibility. It can deform under sustained loads. The full 1000 mm length can be cut down for shorter runs or matching spacer lengths. Use with compatible M8 nuts and check load, temperature and chemical exposure before fitting.
