Polypropylene is a lightweight plastic with very low moisture absorption and useful electrical insulation, with resistance to many aqueous acids and alkalis when the grade suits the environment. This 500 mm format is suited to larger spacer bars, panel separation and custom cut threaded lengths, especially where a simple non-metallic threaded bar is preferred over a metal fixing. The continuous thread accepts compatible M16 nuts along the rod and can be cut carefully into shorter sections.
