If part of the decal lifts with the backing, press the paper backing back against it until it remains adhered to the transfer tape. 3 Once the decal is peeled off the backing, align and position the decal on the surface it will be applied to. or something similar to smooth out the decal, making sure it is completely stuck to the surface. 5 Carefully and slowly, remove the transfer tape from the decal, making sure the decal is stuck to the surface. If part of the decal does not release from the transfer tape, press it back onto the surface and repeat the process.
