Repeat to cut the stem from the donor plant. Ensure a proper groove is formed in the rootstock. Step 2: Insert the donor stem into the groove of the rootstock, aligning it as closely as possible to the cut surface. If the diameters differ, align on one side for best contact. Step 3: Apply disinfectant around the graft junction and secure with tape to protect against bacteria and environmental factors. Step 4: Use pruning shears to trim unnecessary branches.
