Description

- The module provides two sine-wave outputs and two square-wave outputs for flexible signal generation. - Frequency ranges: AD9850: 0-40 MHz; AD9851: 0-70 MHz. Note: from 20-30 MHz, harmonics increase and the waveform becomes less pure. Rectangle (square) wave: 0-1 MHz. - A 70 MHz low-pass filter is used to improve the signal-to-noise ratio of the waveform. - Pin 12, which generates the DA reference, is exposed to facilitate amplitude adjustment of the output waveform. - The comparator reference input is generated by a variable resistor; adjusting it yields square waves with different duty cycles. - Applications: use as a precise DDS signal source for ADC/DAC testing and calibration; RF circuit development for mixers, PLLs, and modulation experiments; educational or hobbyist labs for waveform generation and duty-cycle experiments.
